Software Engineer (Back End Developer)

As a Back End Developer, you will be responsible for the server-side of our web applications. If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, this opportunity could be for you.

 

Responsibilities
 

  • Write clean code to develop functional web applications.

  • Collaborate with Front End Developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

  • Create and maintain relevant documentation that helps in reducing person dependency.

  • Develop and document developer test cases that offer good coverage of the business scenarios, including edge cases.

  • Stay abreast of technologies/ industry trends that could make life easier from both a technology perspective as well as from a business domain perspective.

Requirements
 

  • Experience with creating, testing, and deploying web applications in a time-efficient fashion.

  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).

  • Hands-on experience in PHP, AJAX, jQuery, and MySQL.

  • Ability to identify and fix compatibility issues involving CSS, HTML, and scripting, often between a series of different platforms and browsers.

  • Good understanding and knowledge of APIs, and MVC Architecture.

  • Working experience in source controls like GIT and SVN.

  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, using both verbal and written channels.
